bout time

seems I awakened n my fantasies wore off.
I failed my dreams chasin the wrong luv.
ruined everything around me in the blink of an eye.
as I shake my head repeatedly ask myself y.
I slipped beneath reality n found myself lost.
n who I was had paid the ultimate cost.
paid in full til the end of sleep faded away.
thru my mind I was in my own lil world.
n I thought I had the perfect dream girl.
yet as I woke she wasn't nowhere to be found.
I figure it was a comma that took me down.
but to hear it be said it was as real as air.
n I can only remember pieces so unfair.
I sit now tryin to stand back up as the man I was.
as I believe luv was disguised as a familiar lust.
the game turned on me when I turned on it.
laughin I can't help but to think, I'm sick.
bout time I got what I had comin my way.
I may be rattled but the dog is here to stay.
