hard as a rock

sitting and waiting to be thrown away.
still and ready.
singled out again and again.
i am an easy cast.
landing long enough to be walk on.
made of stone.
forced to find home elsewhere.
i am not the first to be thrown into the water. without a care.
far enough away one can pick up another and discard them as well.
their are millions just like me.
sitting around wanting to be touched.
unknowing they will be picked up and played with.
useless to most but a good weapon to have around.
filling space when needed.
i have been trampled and kicked all my life.
always looked down on.
chipped away from something bigger.
left wherever the hand drops me as it lets go once again.
i have seen some things in my time.
tossed and released somewhere new ever so often.
misplaced without a home, yet i haven't got one.
the ground is where i find my comfort.
there is only one way up.
and then u fall.
so i find it safe here at the bottom.
looking upward at this world push me aside.
yet i am not fazed.
i am what i am and hard as a rock.
chipping away.
forcing me to grab a hold of what is left.
