In a time before you. I never wanted to be loved. No one could find me. And I could care less to find comfort in their touch. Back when I was a ligering drift. Set out to float in the wind. Landing long enough to rest. I wouldn't bend. I was lost in a pre state of happiness. Breaking down all. Unwilling to give self. Disecting their flaws. When I was without you in my life. Times were hard to be say the least. Always another game to play. Somehow winning for only I knew the truth. Never to stay. I wore a face that smiles with laughter. A mask hiding my intensions. Behind my eyes was a hunger. Controlling my direction. A while ago when your presense was not felt. When all that mattered was I. I found myself alone and in wonder. Never wanting to try. In it for the moment. Making sure I was good. Becoming me I gave it up. Something I never thought I would.
